Business Consulting in India
Consultancies rarely announce which of these boxes they sit in. Strategy Consulting deals with where a business should go: markets, portfolios, whether to buy or build. Management Consulting is broader and usually a longer engagement. Operations Consulting and Process Improvement both work on how the day-to-day runs, one on the shape of the function, the other on the specific workflow. Change Management is about getting people to adopt any of it, and Business Analysis, Sustainability Consulting and Compliance & Regulatory are the narrow specialisms.
Plenty of advisory work lives elsewhere. Recruitment and people strategy belong to Human Resources, technology roadmaps to IT Services & Support, audit and financial modelling to Accounting & Finance, and campaign strategy to Marketing & Advertising. Sustainability Consulting appears under Environmental Services as well, where the listings lean operational, not board-level.
